What is Medical-Grade Skincare?

Healthy skin underpins everything that we do in clinic. Improving your skin will maximise and prolong the effects of in-clinic treatments. But with thousands of brands and products out there, the world of skincare can be overwhelming and frustrating as you try to identify products that actually work.

We want to de-mystify the world of skincare for you by recommending the most effective medical-grade skincare products to suit your individual skin needs.

Medical grade skincare is clinically proven to be effective at treating a variety of skin complaints. It contains high concentrations of active ingredients such as vitamin C, retinol and hydroquinone. This, combined with the use of effective delivery systems, that transport the ingredients to the correct layer of the skin, enable these products to have transformative effects on skin health.

With an array of products to suit your individual complaints, budget and acceptable downtime, there is something for everyone.

Skincare consultation

Dr Horlick works with a number of medical-grade skincare brands to ensure that you have access to all of the most effective products on the market.

Our partnership with GetHarley, a medical-grade skincare supplier, facilitates this process, making it a seamless process.

At your consultation, your skin will be analysed, along with your current skincare regimen. Your goals will be discussed and then Dr Horlick will recommend a personalised skincare plan for you. Any additional treatments that she feels will complement your skincare plan will be discussed.

Your skincare plan will then be sent to you, enabling you to do your own research before deciding whether or not you wish to proceed with the plan.

The process

Before Consult

Before your consultation you should either photograph all of your current skincare products or gather them up to bring to your appointment.

During consult

At your consultation, your face will be assessed, your current skincare regimen reviewed and your skincare concerns/goals discussed. Dr Horlick will then recommend a bespoke treatment plan including all of the most effective products to address your specific concerns. A consent form will be completed and before photos taken.

After consult

You will be sent your bespoke medical-grade skincare treatment plan through our skincare supplier, GetHarley. You can then take the time to research and review the recommendations before purchasing part or all of your plan through them.

Results

You can expect to see your results from 4 weeks of starting medical-grade skincare products. A follow-up appointment will be arranged to review your progress and adjust your products if necessary.
